"The Wrong Bridegroom"

My third book is tentatively titled  "The Wrong Bridegroom."  But it's not a sequel!

Lady Evangeline Buchanan is determined to marry Viscount Lionel Southey. They have been childhood friends, and she assumes marriage is only a proposal away. When she discovers Lord Southey to be betrothed to another, her ire is raised and determination sets in. Evangeline will simply kidnap the viscount on the eve of his wedding and hire him away to Gretna Green where they can be married with no gain-sayers.

Unknown to Evangeline, Simon Cumberlane, the Earl of Bevondard, switches places with his cousin.

Imagine Evangeline's surprise when who shows up to marry her but Simon and not Lionel.  After he convinces her to marry him because of a previous arrangement, Simon will need every trick, every courting ritual, every sweet word to entice Evangline to be his properly married wife and forget Lionel.  During their wedding courtship, Evangeline and Simon will need to work together to stop the body-snatchers before another murder occurs, and along the way, Simon may just might kidnap Evangeline's heart.

WIP #2 Love Will Save Me

To begin January 2010.

Miss Lorna MacDougal has arrived in London from Pondicherry, India to find her brother who disappeared several months ago.  She learned from a friend of her brother's that John was involved with the Suicide Club and fears he may be dead.  While searching for information about her brother among the ton, she also plans to find a husband for her niece, Catonia, who wants nothing more than to return to Pondicherry and the sweetheart she left behind.  In Lorna's search for her brother, she'll cross paths with Lord Weberley, and believing he's on the wrong path to no return, she'll try to save him, whether he needs saving or not.

Peter Jenkins, Marchess of Weberley, out for a night on the town, gets drunk, and is set upon by thieves who leave him unconscious on the steps of the Suicide Club.  A  touch of amnesia later finds Peter in Miss MacDougal's home as she plans to save him from committing suicide.   At first amused to play along, he soon finds himself attracted to his savior, but to complicate matters, she thinks he is her lost brother, since they are similar in appearance.

Peter, when not gaming or drinking or generally carousing, must find the head of the Suicide Club to prevent further murders and discover who killed his best friend.  If only Miss MacDougal would stay out of his way or, at least, believe him, when he tells her he's NOT her brother.  And kissing between strangers is totally acceptable.
